first time at cwm carn downhill for one of there uplift days, did a total of five runs down the black runs, with my bike at it's limit, front forks bottomed ut occasionaly and i was getting brake fade towards the bottom, some of the guys who were on dedicated downhill bikes were flying..literaly, some major tumbles and if youv'e never down this tarck before think rocks rocks and more loose rocks..

to be honest i was getting bored of it by dinner time so with the two guys from my station who i went with and downhill there thing (7k on a down hill bike!!!) i left them to it

i decided to do the xc trail the tawr, it's 15k long and a lot of climbing which was a struggle after this mornings downhilling, however i did it in 50mins, and with the details at the start of the trail saying 1 to 1.5 hours i was quite pleased, especially as i passed blokes half my age..

great day, but i think i'll leave the downhilling to the pro's
